USA - Yellowstone National Park
Roughly the size of the state of Connecticut, Yellowstone national park is truly the country that time forgot; and that is what makes it such a magnificent place to go on safari! Not simply for its impressive nature reserve – packed with bears, bisons, deers and elks – but for the natural landscape that these majestic animals call home. Yellowstone is a park comprising of forests and volcanic plateaus, continuously eroding for over a millennia by glaciation, and all flanked by a breathtaking mountain range. When you come to Yellowstone expect to be overwhelmed by the stunning natural beauty – a country within a country – featuring over 10,000 thermal features; the most famous of which erupts over 100 feet high every 45 to 90 minutes. It is not difficult to see why the land that time forgot is also the land of mind-boggling statistics!
