SAFARI INDIA - Tigers - Rhinoceros - Leopards - Asiatic lions - Wild elephants and more
Everybody who comes to India does so with one thing clearly in mind, the infamous native tiger population. The indian fauna (mammals, birds, reptiles..) is amazing and sometimes unique. It will serve to be augmented by the stunning beauty that this ancient country has in store. A supplement your safaris by drinking in the culture that is literally overflowing from the Indian-cup in cities such as Mumbai, Varanasi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, or aeras like Kerala Tamil Nadu and Ladakh.
India has created many National Parks with a preservation for the wildlife: thousands of deers and antelopes, wild elephants, rhinoceros, birds and also the powerful yet magestic tigers or the shy leopard.
Be aware than safaris are becoming more and more popular for indians for a very cheap price when foreigners paid a more expensive rate for the car, the ticket and sometimes for the photo permit.
The result is crowds in all national parks, specially the week-end and for vacations or festivals and the number of cars and visitors might be more strictly limited. I illustrate this point with pictures from Gir forest but it's the same in the beautiful national Park of Ranthambore and many others parks, and we won't return there as it was really "too much". There they have the incredible "canters" which are trucks with 20 to 30 seatings.

tribal village, but there is also concrete houses in another village
In Gir Forest, there is still few villages in the National Forest, with cattle grazing and also a lot of traffic (motorbikes, cars, trucks..) between those villages and the city. Quite surprising.
