Guam is the largest and southernmost of the Mariana Islands and is an unincorporated territory of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean. The capital city is Hagåtña and around 170,000 people are living on the island. Guam has an area of 544 km2. The military installations on the island are some of the more strategically important U.S. bases in the Western Pacific.The main tourist area is around Tumon Bay, which has many resorts and the destination is very appreciated by american and japanese tourists.
