In case of problem...

Problems can occur during your trip...  delayed or lost luggage, flight delayed or cancelled..

Delayed or Lost luggage : it's always embarrassing to travel without luggage but it happened sometimes. So it's always to have your important items in your cabin luggage (see packing list). In most cases, your luggage will arrive with the next flight (be aware than some charter flights are weekly) and will be delivered to your hotel. You have to get informations at the airline counter, get a receipt and ask them to be informed of the status of this luggage.  Some airlines delivered an emergency kit with toiletry items or they can also give you an allowance for emergency purchases (keep invoices). Also check your travel insurance contract to know their allowance in such cases.

In case, we recommand to keep all  proofs and documents (boarding pass, luggage tags, invoices..) and take pictures if appropriate to be able to report a case to a provider (airline, hotel..).  You can send all documents and your complaint to the provider by email to open the case.

 

Read  also your travel insurance contract to be sure to have all elements to open a case or for a complaint. They often ask for a document issued by the airport or the airline as a proof.
