ADVICES for TRAVELERS
Your health and fitness should be appropriate for the chosen destination and amount of physical activity required. So do not sign up for a trek in the Himalayas if you are not able and ready!
For specific destinations requiring vaccines (yellow fever...) or preventative treatments (malaria..), you should consult your doctor before departure.
We recommend:
- Take your usual treatments for the duration of your trip in your cabin bag. In case of loss or delay for checked baggage, it is often difficult to easily find the equivalent abroad (different name, prescription ...). For prescription drugs keep a copy of the order with the drugs
- To carry a mini first-aid kit for your destination (bandages, disinfectant, aspirin ...) and other current necessities
For some countries, we recommend extreme caution when choosing your meal. It is imperative to consume bottled drinks/cans that are sealed and opened in front of you. Do not drink tap water.
Salad or raw foods are riskier than cooked foods. Always dine at places that seem clean and well kept.
An intestinal problem is rarely serious but it will spoil precious vacation days.
Finally, go with at least one good pair of shoes for visits and walks: blisters also spoil the fun.
Remember, if applicable, to take your protective sunglasses and a high protection sunscreen, and if necessary, mosquito repellant.
