Israel is small but of full of treasures for the willing tourist. Here is a taste of just a few: from the mystical sensation of history coming to life in Jerusalem, through Tel Aviv’s Mediterranean spirit and urban sophistication, to Eilat’s carefree atmosphere, the natural wonders of the Dead Sea and the enchanting Galilee area.

The fortress was originally constructed by King Herod in 31 BCE. Years later, it was the refuge of a group of Jewish rebels. After the siege of Masada, Roman forces discovered that the rebels had chosen to take their own lives instead of becoming slaves.
