The Kingdom of Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation that borders Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.

Nestling in the forests to the north of Siem Reap city and vast Tonle Sap lake with its floating villages, the famous temples were built over 5 centuries by the rulers of the Khmer Empire. The 12th century glory of the Cambodian Empire was expressed in stone through the construction of the temple monument Angkor Wat and it is still considered the soul of the nation. Originally built as a Hindu shrine, it was converted into a Buddhist temple in the 14th century.
