Northern Territory is a federal Australian territory in the centre and central northern regions. Wild and untamed, wide-open and unpeopled, these are the phrases that characterise the Northern Territory. This is a place with landscapes as diverse as they come, from Uluru, the spiritual heart of the Australian continent in the dry Red Centre, to the teeming-with-wildlife tropical wetlands of the Kakadu and Nitmiluk National Parks in the Top End.
